This Collaboration Is Something Big
When a brilliant boss recognizes a like-minded businessman who has used his fame and platform to create his very own KINGDOM which is made up of an undeniable successful career in hip hop culture, he knows that he has come across greatness and this is the golden opportunity to get on a Zoom call with Jay and make this happen.
“Your best revenge is your paper” “Beyonce” Jay-Z is solid proof of this. A couple of days ago, rapper and businessman Jay-Z finalized a business deal with Phillippe Schaus, the chief executive of LVMH.
LVMH; MOET HENNESSY LOUIS VUITTON’S, is the brand name of Mr. Schaus drinks businesses. Schaus is also the owner of DOM PERIGNON. JAY-Z, owner of Armand de Brignac Champagne aka “ ACE OF SPADES. ”
These two brands alone are the largest and most successful brands there are in the world. Their drinks are considered to be luxury brands and can be very expensive.
I love the story of when Jay was rocking with “Cristal” and displayed bottles of Champagne in his videos. He would occasionally mention “Cristal” in his music in an attempt to bring more exposure to the drink. But in 2006, Jay-Z boycotted “Cristal “ over comments that were made by an executive with the brand’s parent company about doing business with the rap world. He was quoted saying “We cannot forbid people from buying it. I”m sure Dom Perignon or Krug would be delighted to have their business.”
From that, Jay-Z and a partner invested in Armand de Brignac. Jay changed the brand name to ACE OF SPADES.
These two men are using their knowledge and influences to combine consumers from two different worlds. This has surely broken barriers among hip-hop acts turned moguls and elite businessmen in the world of champagne. Both of these men bring plenty to the table. This is history in the making. Congratulations to both of these men.
