September is Ovarian Cancer awareness month.

What we need to know about Ovarian Cancer. I choose to learn and write about this subject for two reasons: I am a woman, and the second reason is that I have little knowledge about a severe disease that can be prevented.

Recently, according to a published document from the federal register, President Joe Biden and the white house administration have declared September as Ovarian Cancer Awareness. President Biden Stated, "his administration is also dedicated to protecting ovarian cancer patients through the Affordable Care Act (ACA," and that "despite ovarian cancer rates being highest among white women, Black women are more likely to die from this disease because of lack of access to health care, socioeconomic disparities, and other causes still under study."

Whew, Chile, that's a lot. But we need to know all of this so that we can find solutions for prevention. And also to know the early signs of it. I hear little about this disease, and I would like to learn more about it. I am not sure, but I have read that one of the causes of Ovarian Cancer can be linked to heredity. Most likely, someone in your family has had it before. I also read that if you have had breast cancer, you can be at risk for it. The food which you are consuming could be a bracket to this disease also.

I looked up hhtps://www.cancer.org, detection by googling this, and searched for what food can cause this illness. Unpasteurized, fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices are not good, and I researched that raw or undercooked meats, poultry, fish, shellfish, and sushi are also wrong.

A lot of diseases in the world come from what you are eating. And I'm guessing having a stressful life can play a significant role in how sick your body can become. You have to be very careful and mindful of what you are feeding your mind and body.

If you have symptoms or want to get tested for this, there are two ways. One way is by having your blood drawn, and the other way is by having a pelvic exam. I've read that this disease can easily spread quickly, so as a woman, I feel that we should be familiar with our bodies at an early age. Not to scare us, but to know our body entirely to detect when something doesn't feel right.

We should know about our female reproductive system and learn about our ovaries and where they are located. We should be familiar with how they look and their standard size. We are the masters of our bodies, and we should be in precise touch with what's going on within ourselves.

There are several signs of this cancer which makes it hard to diagnose at times. If you are having recurring symptoms, then you definitely should get checked out. I didn't know too much about this before this writing, but now I am familiar with its symptoms. You can survive this if treated early. There are several risk factors that you should be aware of, such as:

Age

Obesity

Use of talcum powder in the genital area

Endometriosis

Smoking

Hormone replacement therapy

And diabetes

More exposure is coming out about Ovarian cancer and its treatments. Unfortunately, it can be a severe and deadly disease. I would love for more women to know about this to help with early diagnosis. Many women have survived this, and with an earlier diagnosis, more can live abundantly. This cancer can be a silent killer, but we can collectively fight these abnormalities and tumors by becoming loud about prevention and detection. I'm about educating myself and hopefully educating others on treatment and healing. You can live through this.

Learning and writing about this was very difficult for me. Reading painful stories of those who have lost their loved ones is heart-wrenching, and I would like to hear more fantastic survival stories. I am sending my love and prayers out to all suffering from this cancer directly or indirectly.

Know your body. Take good care of yourself. And never be afraid to ask your physician questions when you don't feel well. I googled what the color teal means, and this is what it said; "The color teal represents open communication and clarity of thought." I am incredibly spiritual, and I study colors, and blue reminds me of the blue sky and the ocean blue. I feel relaxed when I look above. Green is a go color, just like the traffic signal when you're driving; you move forward. Teal is the color of Ovarian cancer, a combination of both colors.

I want this to go away. Sometimes it's painful to be a woman. We go through so much physically and emotionally. Women keep your head held high as the sky. Please be knowledgeable of your beautiful body. If you don't learn something for yourself, know it for another sister to whom you may become a helping, supportive blessing. A fire has been lit inside me, and I will continue researching this topic to develop healthy and helpful solutions.

I want to say that I'm so sorry to all who have lost their lives from this terrible cancer. I want to let anyone battling this fight know that I pray for you to be strong and optimistic. I'll do my part by taking care of myself and keep bringing awareness to this. I'm sending love, healing, and light.
