Iyamah's Self-Wellness Friday
This blog is a special shout-out to all the caregivers out here in the world. You all deserve recognition for the extra effort that you put into other's lives to do what you feel is right in your heart. People with special needs did not ask for their misfortune. Nor did the caregivers ask to be put in a position to go the extra mile for someone else. But I know that we are all placed here on earth to help one another.
A selfless act is to genuinely be there for someone who requires more attention than expected initially. Usually, the focus is on the person or people who need more TLC. But do we ever really put any thought into the person taking care of someone who needs it most. The caregiver is usually a solid will-minded, and compassionate individual. And often may be unintentionally overlooked.
Others view these courageous people like the stronger ones, which may be the case, but I would like to acknowledge them by writing this blog for them. I and so many others do recognize your work. Everything is not for everyone, and you were created for these tasks rather you first realize it or not. The creator would've never placed you in a position to govern over others if being a provider wasn't meant for you to help others.
Well, I want to say that you all are appreciated. Everyone has a job in life, and sometimes we don't know it until we're in it. Then once we're in it, time moves so fast that we don't realize the impact that we have on being there for others. Life is happening so quickly that sometimes gratitude from others is rare.
Take a deep breath and pat yourselves on your back. Stay humble but know that you are loved, and we do honor you all for doing things for people that consist more of you. When people bring up karma, know that it can be for bad and good. And good karma will follow you all your days for all that you do.
Whatever you do and whoever it is that you're doing it for has not gone unnoticed. I see you, and others also see your endeavors. Make sure while caring for others that you are still putting yourself first and enjoying your life as it should be. Make sure that the caregivers are being cared for correctly. Ase.
