Iyamah's Self-Wellness Friday
Let me share some of my magic with you all. I'll begin by letting you all know that I love to balance my life by using meditation. I've been practicing deep meditation for two years now. Before I began to meditate, I started off practicing yoga. I was a heavy smoker at the time with four school agers, single, and raising my children without their dad. I was a morning shift supervisor at a fast-food restaurant working about 36 to 40 hours a week. I needed something to relax my entire being, and I sought a natural way of doing so.
I can now ascend to a higher form of life using intense meditation. My senses have expanded just as naturally as I'm writing this blog. I believe that everyone has a gift that they're blessed with; some sing beautifully, some have gifted hands, I have a gifted mind, and I am magic.
Some things about your life are so precious that you should not share with others, but there are those things that I believe should be transferred if they could be beneficial to the healing of someone else.
Stress can kill you if you allow it to. I have been under a tremendous amount of pressure for years, and I did not know of any way to handle it. Going to the doctor and being prescribed all that medicine for anxiety was not working for me. I had to come up with natural ways of healing, and I did just that.
I have many methods working for me, and one of them is getting a full-body massage. I got my first massage about a week ago, and it was heaven on Earth. It was literally heaven on Earth. It was a 90-minute rubdown, and I drifted into a blissfully relaxing slumber. The dreams that I had were vivid and amazingly colorful.
Because my meditation skills are higher, the much-needed massage had me briefly in another world. I have to pamper myself, and I have to take care of my body and my mind. That self-care will be followed by many more like it, and I guess receiving that kind of relaxation is a form of meditation also.
I love myself as I have never had before, and I will only get better as I evolve. "Girl, relax," I often tell myself. I get it now. I love this new person that I have become. ASE.
