AJ ROSE, OUR LOCAL HERO

At the beginning of my journey of writing my blogs, I said that I would write about local news from my hometown. When I came across this story, I immediately knew that I had to write about this magnificent young man.

I would like to introduce you all to our local hero. His name is AJ ROSE. I do not know this young man, but his story leaped out at me as I was strolling through my news feed searching for a topic to write about.

There was no brainer here. We are from the same town and I am extremely impressed about the whole thought of giving back to the community once you have established yourself.

So, let me give you a little history of AJ Rose. #9- class of 2016\RB, QB. Rose attended Garfield Heights High School and is a graduate of the class of 2016. Rose has an outstanding football career before

graduating and going off to college.

I looked back at his timeline of success and I immediately became impressed. After graduating from high school, Rose attended the University of Kentucky. Rose was just signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent.

What’s more impressive, is that this young man is coming back to his hometown to give back to the kids in the community. Later this month, on Saturday, June 26, Rose is hosting a football camp for children from the ages of 6-14. This camp is free for up to 100 children.

This is going to be pretty big. I know that all youth who will participate will never forget this experience. Guests from such organizations as the NFL, NCAA, and the OHSAA will be there to give their expertise and guidance on the sport.

This will be a day of fun to remember by everyone involved. It is always a beautiful thing when a person makes it and not forgetting where it all started. I just would like to send out good vibes to Mr. Rose, and everyone that's involved in this inspirational deed for the children.

Imagine who those kids are going to inspire when they make it. This is a clear example of when you've been blessed to be a blessing for others. It takes a whole village. The impact of this event will follow these children for a lifetime. Salute to you AJ Rose.

This event will be held at Garfield Heights High School on June 26, 2021.
